My Own Bed

The best thing that happened to me was getting back into my own bed. After all the Thanksgiving travel sleeping on some not so nice beds, the feeling of slipping back into my own comfy mattress with my newly cleaned sheets is the best feeling ever! Sleep! I need a vacation from the holiday.

Getting Paid for Facebooking

I love working the day after Thanksgiving. No one is in the office, except for me, and it gives me a chance to catch up on all my personal business. Life is good.

Nice Drivers

The best thing that happened to me today was actually being on the road with a courteous driver. It's a rarity in DC especially with the holiday season. 95% of the drivers on the road are aggressive and in a hurry to get to where they're going. It's nice to finally be let into the line of traffic on my way home from work instead of forcing my way in.

Wardrobe Malfunction

It's only right that I come strolling into work with the most inappropriate attire at least once a year. Today I was clearly distracted while getting dressed and failed to realize that my shirt is see through. Yes, folks... what you are seeing is indeed my bra. This explains all the stares from my male colleagues. And to think I thought it was my HOT boots and skinny jeans!!!

By far the best thing that happened today for everyone else in the office and its only 10:00 AM.

Spending time with my lil sisters

The best thing that happened today was having dinner with my baby sisters. It's rare the 3 of us get together.

Birthday Shopping for Miss Maia

The best thing that happened today was picking out the cutest dress for my niece, Maia. She turned 4 on Sunday, November 21. Along with the dress, I bought her a sign for her bedroom door. Since her name is spelled different than most Mias, we can never find her a sign that spells her name right. Until now! She will be one happy little 4 yr. old when I show up in town!

3 States and 6 Miles

The best thing that happened to me today was walking across the Woodrow Wilson. 3 states (DC, MD, VA) and a 6 mile walk with a good friend. I <3 the DMV.
