Feeling grateful

The best thing that happened to me today was going to SOHO (Space of Her Own.org). To know what each of those 11-12 yr old girls are exposed to makes me so thankful for what I have and how I grew up. I had a wonderful supportive and loving family. The things I heard tonight were shocking and unfathomable. I'm glad that these girls have SOHO and I am too.  I am also grateful to be apart of such an awesome program. To be a mentor is the greatest gift.

Giving

The best thing that happened to me today was giving a gift to someone in need. I very slyly gave a warm coat, gloves and hat to a little girl in need. The look on her face was priceless. When she tried it on she raved about how warm it was. I'm on such a high right now I don't want to come down. Its true it's better to give than to received.

Yesterday is history.  Tomorrow is a mystery.  And today?  Today is a gift.  That's why we call it the present.
